In the Thames Valley alone members of 56 Rotary clubs plus Rotaract, Interact and Rotakids clubs are supporting initiatives and making a huge difference in their local communities and through many international projects from literacy and peace to water, health and much more.

Maidenhead Thames Rotary

The Rotary club of Maidenhead Thames was founded in 1986 to provide professionals with an opportunity to get involved in local and international community projects, meeting in the evening. We now support local good causes and charities through volunteering and fund raising, including Thames Hospice, Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice and Thames Valley Adventure Playground.

We help run Maidenhead’s 'Got Talent', a Charity quiz, Schools competitions and many other events including the Cookham Regatta.

We meet for an evening meal at Fredricks Hotel in Maidenhead on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month and have an interesting range of speakers to hopefully inform and entertain us.

Cookham Bridge Rotary

Cookham Bridge Rotary Club carries out charitable activities which are pinned together through the social activities of a friendly active club meeting weekly for social and business activities. The Club was chartered in 1987 and raises funds both directly and by offering our time and talents to help other local organisations succeed in their projects.
Fund raising events have included golf days, bridge and quiz nights, concerts and in conjunction with Maidenhead Thames Rotary Club – the Cookham Regatta. Profits from these events are distributed to many local charities but we also have used the Rotary International matching grant scheme to raise money for international projects including a bakery in a Peru school, materials and a palliative care ward in South Africa, water supply for a sports centre for street children In Nepal and sponsored schooling and subsistence to deprived children in Africa and India.
As well as fund raising we have lots of fun through social functions within the club itself and with other local clubs.
